A Bit About Kyle Claypool – Our Founder
A graduate of the University of Illinois School of Business, Kyle has spent his entire career in the web marketing industry. He started his career as an intern at Xenomedia, a Chicago web design company. While in school, he also worked at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) – birthplace of the graphical web browser and home to one of the fastest supercomputers in the world.
Kyle founded Optima to help small and medium businesses build a cost-effective web presence that generates measurable business growth.
Kyle was selected to represent the United States as Technical Expert and judge at the WorldSkills Website Design Competitions. With WorldSkills, he has traveled to London (2011) and Rio de Janiero (2010) to work with some of the best and brightest web designers and programmers in the world. His responsibilities included training the US national finalist for the World competition, as well as serving as a judge at the world competition.
Kyle has spent most of the last several years studying search engine optimization (SEO) and developing a team of experts to serve our clients. An extremely competitive person by nature, Kyle has a passion for beating competition in search rankings. Outside the office, Kyle enjoys spending time with his lovely wife (Gina), his dog (Princess) and two cats (Rocky and Rambo). He enjoys playing soccer and traveling the world.
